Serrapeptase is a proteolytic enzyme, isolated from the microorganism, Serratia E15. Studies reveal that Serrapeptase has a specific, anti-inflammatory effect, superior to that of other proteolytic enzymes. Nattokinase is a highly purified enzyme extracted from the popular Japanese food called natto, a fermented soybean.
